Publishing books for kids is both our business and our passion at Bouncing Ball Books. It is our commitment to bring you the very best in children's literature. Our books feature sturdy, high-quality stitched hard covers with heavy-duty bindings to last through repeated readings. We hope to see our books passed down from older kids to younger ones, and even between generations. By far the vast majority of children's books are put out by huge conglomerate publishing houses. As a small independent publisher, we like to think that our books offer something different. Our picture books are illustrated with bright and cheerful art drawn by hand, and most of our books are hand lettered as well. We feel this makes them seem more personal, as if each one were written for the individual child who reads it. Our website also offers opportunities to enrich the reading process. On our "Activities and Fun" pages, we have games, puzzles, and questions to expand your child's enjoyment of our books. We also have pictures of and information about our authors. Perhaps a budding writer will be encouraged by reading about the people who wrote her favorite books! We plan to expand our catalog to include poetry and books in Spanish, as well as more picture books. Chapter books, too, will be available soon. From animal stories to books of Spanish poetry, we've got a diverse catalog for both adults and children.
